Glasgow UniversityThere was snow and long, long immigration lines in Washington D.C. to welcome me back in to the United States on Monday. But shuffle slowly through I did and was rewarded by one of the highest benefits of a pluralistic society: great food. The pizza really could have been from Italy, I believe.

The next day dawned bright and crisp. I had left myself plenty of time for fear of stringent security measures at the airport but in fact Washington Dulles was almost deserted and I breezed through the checkpoints. A quick scan of the TVs showed where everyone was that day - 25 miles east outside of the Capitol Building and lining the National Mall. As I travelled across the country that day I was met with many supporters of the incoming President and joined with a few of them to watch the inauguration ceremonies, just shortly aftertouching down in Atlanta for one of my layovers.

Landing in Maui late on Tuesday evening gave me time to rest before starting the Apologetics teaching for the current DTS on Wednesday morning. I'll be helping to shape the curriculum for that program as well as be a part of the teaching for their 10 weeks of study on the island before they leave to head overseas on their outreaches. As well as that I'll be assisting with a revamp of ywammaui.com - our base website.

In the mean time I should resume blogging as a continued outwork of my studies and teaching preparations. Look for a full newsletter soon with goals and plans for the year. There are exciting opportunities up ahead!

As always, it's Onwards and Upwards friends!
