Well, what a few weeks. I’m only just beginning to catch my breath. After spending some relatively quiet time in England with my family my life burst into activity once more as I criss-crossed the western part of this world we live in.My first stop was un-announced. I flew from England into Pennsylvania with only a couple of people knowing that I was even coming. My covert plans all came together and on the 24th April I managed to get the words out of my mouth that I had been rehearsing for a good many weeks; I proposed to Liz, and she said yes! Liz was caught completely be surprise. Even after the trail of roses, the hand-written note etc. she didn’t work out what was going on. It wasn’t until I stepped out of the shadows, and after she recovered from the shock, that her eyes hinted at the beginning of some recognition. It was a very special moment for us both and sets the way for many more to come in the future. After a few days in Pennsylvania I flew on to Maui where I spent a week with old friends and colleagues. I’ve been released from my current position at YWAM Maui, which allows me to base my self out of Pennsylvania (for hopefully obvious reasons!). It was so good to be reconnected to friends who in the last few years I’ve become very close too. And now once more I am back in Pennsylvania. Liz and I are making arrangements to plan the next part of our lives as I type. I look forward to spending my summer here in Washington, PA and seeing the opportunities unfold. Onwards and upwards friends, as always! |
